Low energy full-LED tomato trial

Over the past three years, our low‑energy tomato trial has developed into a close collaboration with Philips Horticulture LED Solutions and our arcom partners Ridder, Gordon, Wireless Value, and Normec Groen Agro Control.

Together, we explored how a fully integrated approach to lighting, irrigation, nutrition, climate control, data and genetics performs under full‑LED, low‑heat conditions. The results show that when these disciplines are aligned, growers can achieve stable yields, high fruit quality and reduced energy input. Precision irrigation and nutrient strategies helped strengthen generative growth and reduce green spots 🍅, while improved light‑use efficiency and data‑driven climate steering supported crop uniformity and energy savings.

We are extremely proud of both the outcomes of this trial and the collaboration behind it.

We remain committed to continuing research and partnerships to further support future‑proof growing.
